During one of her trips, she discovered Present Moment Retreat and it truly is a hidden gem off the beaten path, 45 minutes north of Zihuatanejo. Renée arrived in Troncones in 2022 not knowing a soul. She had just had a terrible tragedy a couple of months earlier and needed to get away, rest, and start to heal her broken heart. Our other travelers gave her space, but let her know they were there to support her. During that trip she made a bunch of new friends, then signed up for more trips and last year she led our NextTribe trip to climb a 14,000 ft mountain in her home state (after replacing both knees!)
