Wanderlust Diaries: So, you think you want to leave the country?

Plus, safe drinking water anywhere.

Travel news for our favorite travelers.

Greetings fellow travelers and dreamers!

Coming back from Vietnam on a new airline called Starlux, I was introduced to a new service called P/S (formerly Private Suites). For those of us who don’t have a PJ (private jet) P/S offers a private club with excellent food, and 8 private suites, a massage and treatment room, and a play area for your pampered pets.

Club access was included in my business class ticket!

Not a bad landing pad!

Should you drink the water?

A dilemma for frequent travelers. In San Miguel de Allende and on our Troncones beach trip, we brush our teeth with bottled water and keep our mouths closed in the shower. Ditto for Vietnam, India, Cuba, and other exotic destinations.

But some travelers swear by portable water sterilizing devices like the SteriPen. One of our friends from Austin says she’s used it all over the world and never had a problem (the one time she didn’t use it in Mexico she got a little tummy ache!)

Day of the Dead traveler Jeannette LaFontaine, who always travels with her SteriPen.

If you want to spend more time overseas…

Whether you’re seeking to reconnect with your family heritage, move overseas or simply want a second passport at your disposal, at least 50 countries offer some version of citizenship by descent. Check it out here.

Also, here’s a list of 66 countries that offer Digital Nomad visas—from the Seychelles to Serbia and Portugal to Peru—plus the requirements for each. That’s a lot of territory.

Happy Thanksgiving and travel blessings if you’re on the road this week—
