Happy Monday, everyone. We had a couple of very fun and well-attended events last week, a cozy Cawfee Tawk at Spread & Co, and Sunday Salon at Salt Traders. Big thanks to Becky Nolan for getting us a primo spot at Spread, and to Nancy Goedeke for bringing us another great Sunday Salon.

LAST WEEK IN AUSTIN

Yesterday, March 24 we had a great Sunday Salon at Salt Traders with Kim Wilkin, the Abundant Traveler.

Kim gave us great tips about travel, very practical info like best credit cards to use, her favorite hotel and airlines (and why) and she even did a show and tell with her go-to jackets, slings, backpacks and suitcases. She’ll send out an email with the video of her talk, plus all her notes and links.

LET’S TAKE A DIP IN ESTHER’S POOL

This THURSDAY MARCH 28! Let’s "Be A Tourist In Our Own Town" and venture down to Dirty 6th! Esther's Follies is an INSTITUTION at the corner of 6th and Red River. It’s a “modern-day vaudeville” theater. Politically incorrect, topical and very, very funny. Not sure there are any tickets left to buy, but you can check on their website, www.esthersfollies.com/tickets

Tie on your hiking shoes! Weather permitting, we’re going on a Troll Stroll Thursday April 4. Melissa is going to take us on an adventure in Pease Park, to meet Malin the new Thomas Dambo troll who recently appeared in Pease Park. (and we’ll see the bonus troll at BEPI Park!) Afterwards, we’ll walk over to The Tavern for lunch, and then to the Davis Gallery to hear NextTriber Carla Heinrich talk about the work of artist Malou Flato. CAWFEE TAWK APRIL 5

Our next Cawfee Tawk is the next day, Friday April 5th, at Confituras Little Kitchen. It’s a tiny little house with home made biscuits, jams and more. Not much parking, you might want to BIKE LIKE BETTY or plan to park in the neighborhood. Facebook event here:
