This is the year to do it!

Celebrate Jane Austen in England on the 250th anniversary of her birth. If not now, when??

News Flash: New York Times names Jane Austen’s England as the top place to go in 2025. Click here if you don’t believe me!

I was fortunate to see a lot of you on our Jane Austen Info Session over Zoom in December. Quite a few of you have signed up for the trip (Yay! Thank you!), but we still need a few more Jane Austen fans to join us on a fabulous tour of the places she lived, the places she wrote about, and the places where movies of her work have been filmed. Plus, the Jane Austen Festival in Bath AND time in the heavenly Cotswolds.

I thought I would send this note since if you’re like me, many tasks—such as planning vacations—are put off until after the dust of the holidays has settled.

Here, in case you missed it, is the recording of the Jane Austen Info Session, plus (below) a few videos that give you the feel of the big festival in Bath.

The Outfits

Lucky us! We get to dress up in Regency style garb for the big festival in Bath—including the re-creation of the Netherfield Ball. Click on the photo below for just a few inexpensive options.

The Books

I want to get our travel group together soonest, because I’d like to host a monthly Zoom gathering in the lead up to the trip so we can discuss each one of her books. A book group AND a travel tribe. Fun!!

There are 6 Jane Austen books, so I’d like to follow this schedule to discuss each one before our trip. We’ll pick exact dates once we have our group together.

  • March: Sense and Sensibility

  • April: Pride and Prejudice

  • May: Mansfield Park

  • June: Emma

  • July: Northanger Abbey

  • August: Persuasion

Hope to see you in a brand new bonnet in September!
