Dear Lifetime Member,

I’m sure you’re well-traveled so you’ve already been to Paris. Or you've considered it for years, but just never managed to book it.

Either way—as you may have heard from other NextTribe travelers—this Paris trip is really very special.

A Paris Most Visitors Never See...

is a new (and timeless) NextTribe journey led by a NextTriber who has spent four decades learning this city at the cobblestone-street-and-back-alley-level. Seriously, Ellen Williams knows the patisseries and little gems of Paris better than anyone.

The Paris she’ll show you is different, and “vive le diference!” No lining up at the Eiffel Tower (unless you want to, on your own). No crowding around the Mona Lisa (again, up to you, but that’s not what we’re doing). No Instagram influencer spots.

This is the Paris that Parisians actually live in — and it's far more interesting.

Why This Paris?

We’ve all seen Paris in movies and on the socials, and scrolled through iconic photos. We know the major museums and monuments are there. What we may not know is what makes Paris a shining example of urban beauty:: the hidden architecture, the seasonal quality of light, the “je ne said quois” that makes women fall in love with the place.

You can’t use ChatGPT to discover this Paris. You need someone who has spent decades getting to know this city intimately — someone who actually enjoys the company of women, especially those who want to understand Paris, not just push a pin in their personal world travel map.

You need Ellen. She designs, and defines this trip.

That’s Ellen in the center, surrounding by her adoring, traveling fan club!

Ellen made the trip feel deeply immersive and personal. It was also just a ton of fun. —Laura K., Seattle

An Amuse Bouche, And a Gourmet Itinerary

🍷 Wine, Chocolate, Cheese — A hands-on chocolate-making workshop at one of Paris's oldest chocolatiers. A wine-and-cheese tasting in the Latin Quarter. Shopping that look and feel too perfect to be real.

🏘️ The Paris Parisians Love — Rue des Martyrs. Montmartre's winding cobblestone streets. The Marais, where 17th and 18th-century architecture is still intact and the city seems to slow down for your to admire it. The Île Saint-Louis, provincial and quiet and utterly elegant.

🎨 Hidden Courtyards and Covered Arcades — The Palais-Royal with its serene gardens and early-19th-century shopping arcades. The Hôtel de Sully with its magnificent courtyards. Place des Vosges, the stately square that became the template for residential squares across Europe.

🛍️ Markets and Museums — The Marché President Wilson, a twice-weekly market where Parisians shop. The Porte de Vanves flea market, better than the famous ones. Boutiques and vintage designer shops in every quarter.

This trip feel was everything and more I had hoped for. I wanted to leave the trip not just having “seen” Paris but really experiencing it.” . —Delcy B., Phoenix

🏛️ Culture Without the Crowds — The Picasso Museum. The Musée Carnavalet. The Galerie Dior. Museums you've actually heard of, at a pace that lets you breathe.

🥐 The Food and Wine — Seven dinners at Ellen's favorite restaurants. Lunch at classic French cafés where the tile murals tell stories of Paris. Breakfast spreads at a beautiful hotel in St-Germain-des-Près. Ice cream from Berthillon, in business for almost 75 years on the Île Saint-Louis.

🌅 A Sunset Seine Cruise — An hour on the water as the light fades but the sun doesn’t set until 10 PM.. You’ll want photos of this.

A word on how we've built this trip

Ellen didn't write three guidebooks to Paris as a hobby. Or to get rich. She wrote them because she’s spent forty years coming back to this city again and again, understanding it, and learning where the real magic is.

Her knowledge is encyclopedic. Her enthusiasm is contagious. And she has made it her mission to ensure that you leave this trip feeling like you've actually seen Paris—not the tourist version, but the real one.

All-women small group trips to Paris are plentiful, but not like this one. We've built in structure where it matters (the walks, the tastings, the dinners) and freedom where you need it (afternoons free to wander, museums you can choose to skip). And you’ll return to the hotel by around 4pm most days, giving you time before dinner to pursue whatever called to you that afternoon.

The hotel is beautiful—a quiet street in St-Germain-des-Près, generous breakfast, complimentary coffee and tea-time treats in the lounge, and a small bar where a glass of wine is “de rigeur,” and if you don’t partake, a craft cocktail.

In May, the city is in bloom. The weather is fair. The sun doesn't set until almost 10pm, and it’s hard to decide whether it’s more breathtaking before, or after sunset.

A little taste of the journey

You arrive on May 17th. By lunch, you're walking the Rue du Bac—one of the great Left Bank shopping streets—with Ellen. You stop into three exceptional places and taste your first Paris sweet: a chocolate mousse cone. A treat from Ellen's favorite patisserie. An artisanal sorbet. By dinner, you're starting to understand why she’s obsessed.

Day two: You cross to the Right Bank and walk Rue des Martyrs—you’ll get why people fall in love with (and in) Paris. Family-owned shops. The energy of a neighborhood, authentic. Lunch at a classic French café.

Then Montmartre. Not the crowded version, but the village that still exists above the city. Winding cobblestone streets. The Nouvelles-Athènes quarter, where Chopin and Delacroix once lived. A tea salon tucked inside a 19th-century villa.

Day three: Les Halles, the "belly of Paris" for eight centuries. The oldest patisserie in the city. Julia Child's favorite cookware shop. A vintage bistro with century-old tile murals. A French pharmacy where you'll find beauty products you didn't know existed. The Palais-Royal and its serene gardens and covered arcades.

You'll make chocolate with your own hands (in gloves!). You'll taste wine paired with cheese in the Latin Quarter. You'll walk through the Marais—one of the oldest, best-preserved quarters in the city. You'll stand in Place des Vosges and understand why this square inspired squares all over Europe. You'll eat ice cream that's been perfected for 75 years.

You'll visit a flea market where locals hunt for treasures. You'll stroll an elegant market where Parisians shop. You'll see the Galerie Dior and feel the weight of fashion history.

And you'll take a sunset cruise on the Seine. The light. The river. The women beside you who are seeing the same thing.

We landed in Paris as strangers but concluded the trip as friends. It is hard to explain how well the group coalesced. We enjoyed learning about each other, sharing experiences, and looked out for each other. I have been to Paris many times, experiences this trip with a lovely group was really at the top of the list.”
