NextTribe: Rock 'n' Roll, Activism and Knee Surgery
A little something for everyone
Hi NextTriber,
Is it just us…or is the AARP sponsorship of the Rolling Stones Tour a little weird? Sure, Mick and Keith and Ronnie certainly are AARP age (and then some) and judging from what we’ve seen at recent rock concerts we’ve attended, most of the fans are too.
But still—”AARP” and “Rolling Stones” together in one sentence are a big fat oxymoron in our minds. We suppose this is part of getting older—holding on to past impressions and feeling our equilibrium knocked off when we try to update them. But update them we will.
This week, writer Nina Malkin explores her long love of the Rolling Stones and whether or not she’ll attend the upcoming tour.
Other fresh articles include Barbara Walters, knee surgery, and first person accounts of recent NextTribe trips to Asheville and Cuba.
Enjoy the read!
