NextTribe: Next Saturday + Laughing Our Asses Off in June

Please come hang with us at our upcoming events

Hi all:

A week from now, some of you lucky NextTribers will be gathering in Laura Ross’ downtown apartment to talk to the amazing Rossi—rebel turned caterer turned author. We have a few spots left and would love it if you would join us then to hear some great stories of a life boldly lived.

Our June NextTribe Weekend

I finally got my butt in gear and created a platform where you can buy tickets to two events we’ll be hosting in June when a bunch of NextTribers from the rest of the country visit the city for some downtown fun.

We have only 10 tickets available for our lunch with NPR Correspondent Jackie Northam. She’ll be talking about everything she’s seen—horrendous and wondrous—in her job covering wars, security and cultural issues. I’ll be in town to host Jackie, who I first met when we were covering the prisoner camp in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. What a fascinating, lovely person!

For our 2nd Annual Age Boldly Show, we’ve rented out a small theater in the East Village—the better to fit all those in need of a good chuckle. If you were able to attend our show last year, you’ll remember how much we laughed. This year we’ll be featuring dear NextTriber Jenny Allen and her actor pals Eve Plumb (yes, that Eve Plumb) and Maddie Corman. The other part of the show will be Cynthia Kaplan (who was side-splitting hilarious in last year’s show) and her comedy partner Karen Bergreen.

Tickets include dessert and wine, which always go well with humor.

Hope to see you all soon.

Jeannie R.

P.S. We’ve just released our 2025 Cuba trip. We had quite a few New Yorkers on the trip last February. Ask Laura Ross, Caytha Jentis, Lorraine Glennon and Judith Glynn what made the adventure so special.
