NextTribe: Morocco + A new member dashboard

Things are popping in NY, LA, Phoenix, and Austin

Dear NextTriber,

You heard it here first…NextTribe is working on an itinerary for a trip to Morocco next January! Shhh. We’re not ready to share it yet, but some time in the next month we’ll open it first to Lifetime Members then all members, then we’ll begin promoting it to the public.

Tuscany, Vietnam, San Miguel de Allende, Asheville and Santa Fe still have a few openings this year.

At Your Fingertips

Meanwhile back at the ranch, we have another members-only feature we’re releasing today. Now you can manage your own membership! No more wondering if you’re up for renewal. No more hassle with changing your payment method. Here’s a little video Jeannie Ralston made showing you how to do it.

All you do is go to the homepage, click on TribeSocial, and log in. The membership dashboard appears on the left of your screen. It’s very intuitive. If you find a group you want to join, click Join. If you want to see what the group is doing (or post in the group) click the cover image or the name of the group.

If you haven’t set up your account yet, you just set up a username and password and you’re in! You have to use the email address you used to sign up for membership or it won’t recognize you! Eventually, you’ll be able to see your trips on there, too, but not quite yet.

Logging in will also give you a chance to add a photo or avatar and join the party on TribeSocial. It’s all working now (finally!) and while there are a lot of conversations happening about our trips, there are also local communities set up in Groups. Play around with it, and feel free to reach out to [email protected] if you have questions or suggestions.

Local community events

Austin is continuing the tradition of our twice-a-month coffee hangouts, plus other gatherings our local members organize. Stay abreast of these developments through the Austin group on TribeSocial. Yet another reason to set up your TribeSocial account!

The Austin Next Tribe Group hosted our monthly Sunday Salon with the publisher of Austin Woman Magazine, Melinda Garvey.

And we’re excited to announce that we’re co-sponsoring a Happy Women Dinner in Los Angeles 6/27. Two amazing women authors + dinner with cool NextTribe-y women. Only a few tickets remaining. See invite below and email [email protected] or [email protected] if you’d like to go.

Katherine Adams was working on something for Houston but I’m sure you’ve read the news: there’s a lot of cleanup happening after their recent storm. Stay tuned.

And as part of our New York trip, Jeannie Ralston has organized our second annual Age Boldly Show, Sunday, June 9 at 8PM. See the promo below my signature.

Our Sunday Salons are popular gatherings for local members. Last weekend, Manhattan NextTribers gathered at Laura Ross’s apartment.

Also, thanks to NYC NextTriber and frequent traveler Laura Ross for hosting a Sunday Salon with Chef Rossi, author of Punk Rock Queen of the Jews.

Bye for now….
