Mars here. I love a good bang as much as the next gal, but sadly my small town recently reported that it’s not in the budget this year. I guess I’ll have to make do with sparklers on the patio. 🎇 Hope you get to see some fireworks in your neighborhood!

Please check in Groups in TribeSocial. If you don’t see a group for your city or region, let’s start one!

If you haven’t set up your Tribe Social account yet, you just set up a username and password and you’re in! You have to use the email address you used to sign up for membership or it won’t recognize you! You can check your membership status, upgrade to Lifetime if you’d like, and edit/change which credit card you use.

Austin 

You’ve probably heard that when you visit Austin, you’re going to have a good time. Austin NextTribe members are no different! We’re fun, friendly and sometimes spontaneous. Just how we like it! And, we’ve got an active group in Tribe Social.

Houston 

We’ve got a fun new chapter in Houston. Thanks to Katherine Allen for setting up our June Happy Hour, and getting a few new travelers to join in the fun! She just added a deli lunch at Kenny & Ziggy’s on Saturday July 27.

SAVE THE DATE! Katherine Allen and others in Houston are working on a road trip to Galveston for any Texas NextTriber who wants to join in. This isn’t an official NextTribe trip. It’s a “road trip” where we’ll each make our own hotel reservations, and carpool with friends. Katherine will set up a happy hour so we can meet each other, as well as a Art Walk gallery hop and maybe even a reading by a local woman author. Stay tuned for details.

Los Angeles

NextTribers Jeannie Edmunds and JoBeth McDaniel attended the Happy Women Dinner for Hugh Hefner’s widow Crystal, author of “Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself,” and Lara Love Hardin, whose memoir “The Many Lives of Mama Love” was an Oprah pick and a New York Times Bestseller. NextTribe and Happy Women Dinners have plans for more collaborations in other cities. Stay tuned!

Phoenix/Scottsdale

Teri Doss asks members and friends in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area to Save the Date: October 16, for a get together there. Details to follow later this summer.
