NextTribe Articles: Caretaking, reinventing and traveling solo

And has anybody seen Thelma?

One thing travelers tell us they appreciate on our trips is that we provide a “bubble” and an escape from the incessant chatter about politics. We connect with each other and with local women based on our shared experiences as women, no matter where we come from or whom we support.

We also try to stay apolitical in NextTribe magazine, but we offer our full-throated support of women as we examine all aspects of their lives.

There’s no escaping the fact that there are women on the national stage who are married to aging men, just as many of our readers are. Jill Biden chose to continue working “outside the home,” in this case, the White House. And she’s also taking on a role we haven’t seen of a First Lady in our lifetime, though it’s not unprecedented if you read the history of First Ladies.

We assigned this story because we don’t see anyone else looking at the election through this lens, and we hope it interests you along with our other articles this week.

Enjoy!
