Dear Lifetime Member,

We're so excited to offer you another exclusive booking window for a new trip in 2027.

This will be the second year we’re doing this trip with almost the same itinerary as the trip we led there a few months ago. This year’s trip got rave reviews from our travelers.

"Ecuador was even better than I expected. The people, food, culture, activities and accommodations were wonderful. Ecuador is a hidden gem, not overly touristy. Beautiful landscapes, interesting history, kind and friendly people."

—Leigh Anne M., Torrance, CA

Rainforest, Mountains & Islands…Oh My!

Few countries on earth compress so much wildly different terrain, culture, and life-altering experience into a single trip—and Ecuador is one of them. In fact, NextTribe founder Jeannie Ralston, after decades of globe-trotting, has landed on exactly two countries she calls her absolute favorites. Ecuador is one. Her reasoning: nowhere else does one small sliver on the map encompass so many completely different worlds, each one more absorbing than the last.

We’ll paddle dugout canoes down a tributary of the Amazon as blue morpho butterflies flash past in impossible iridescent blue and toucans perch overhead like opinionated neighbors who have no intention of leaving. HA. If we’re lucky, we’ll see them, lots of them. Later, our private naturalist guide will meet up with us just before dawn when the rainforest is most alive, and the wildlife is feeding, or looking for food. Howler monkeys will announce their presence at decibels that may remind you of your last rock concert!.

Over the Andes Mountains

Then we’ll fly back over the Andes and drive north to Otavalo, where we’ll settle in at Hacienda Cusin—a 17th-century Spanish Colonial property wrapped in lush English gardens with a fire lit in your room each evening. From here, Otavalo women come to the hotel to teach us the embroidery techniques passed down through generations. We'll ride horses (optional) through the hills with views of shimmering lakes and a commanding volcano. We'll wander one of the most celebrated indigenous craft markets in all of South America. And we'll stand on the equator with one foot in each hemisphere, feeling briefly and pleasantly absurd, but we have to do it. It’s Ecuador. How often will you be able to say you stood on the equator.

But here's what really makes this trip special: we start in Quito—the best-preserved Spanish colonial historic center in all of Latin America—a UNESCO World Heritage Site where everyday life weaves around and reflects centuries of history. After city life we’ll plunge deep into the Amazon for three nights at La Selva Jungle Lodge, where leaf-cutter ants cross the trail like soldiers and a 124-foot observation tower puts smack dab into the rainforest canopy. (The full-service spa for your midday recovery hours doesn't hurt either.)

Galapagos: Top of the Bucket List

And the Galapagos? Add our optional four-day extension and you're aboard our own private 115-foot yacht with a dedicated naturalist who knows every blue-footed booby, marine iguana, sea lion and other native species. You'll snorkel alongside sea lions (again, if we’re lucky) who genuinely want to play with you, come face-to-face with giant tortoises, (for sure) and soak in the on-deck jacuzzi at the end of each extraordinary day (no doubt about it). Yes, the jacuzzi is real. And this year's Galapagos extension costs $1,200 less than last year—but every bit as spectacular.

BONUS: Our 2027 mainland trip is one day longer than last year, at the same price. Happy to pass the savings on to you!

"This was the trip of a lifetime (and I have had some amazing trips!). I knew the Galapagos were going to be incredible, but what I had not bargained for was how deeply I would fall in love with Ecuador... this experience is one that I cannot recommend enough. It was transformative."

—Melanie W., Culver City, CA
