I lived in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, for four years–one of the happiest periods of my life. I love returning every October for our Dia de los Muertos trip and seeing my adored city through the eyes of the newcomers who come with me. No matter how long I’m there, how often I return, I can’t get enough of the cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, mountain vistas and lovely, lovely women. 

Every year our San Miguel trip sells out quickly and I always feel bad that more people don’t get to experience this magical spot just south of our border. For 2024, I’m trying something new to give others a chance to be part of the beautiful, meaningful rituals of Day of the Dead in San Miguel.

As you know, one of the perks of being a member is learning about trips before the general public. And below you’ll find 3 trips we’re super excited to add to the schedule. One of them we’ve never offered before.

Only a few people–well, almost 50– get the word before you: Our Lifetime Members. Besides being the most in-the-know, our Lifers also get priority on waiting lists for trips and for any room upgrades if they become available. 

If you’re a frequent traveler with us (or plan to be), I think you’ll want to know that as of April 1st, the price of our Lifetime Membership is going up $100–from $399 to $499. You’ll never have to worry about a sold out trip again! And in case you do decide to hang back, if you’re on a waiting list for a trip you get first priority if a spot becomes available.

In other news, we’ve just started working with a travel agent who can help out with airline tickets to destinations or adding on nights at a hotel or even planning a side trip before or after the NextTribe adventure ends.

Idyllic Beach Retreat in Playa Troncones, Mexico

March 15-22, 2025

We just can’t quit this slice of heaven on the Pacific, especially when we get comments like this following this year’s visit: “Thank you for creating a wonderful fun and safe space for me to play in.” And a traveler who lost her mother during the trip reported that she couldn’t imagine a better place for her to be in, than surrounded by loving, supportive women.
