To my favorite New Yorkers!

We've got some NYC fun planned.

Hello all:

I’m writing this on the plane to Havana, for the start of our week of soaking in the glories of Cuba.

Quite a few of our New York NextTribers will be on the trip with me, but I want to remind you that travel isn’t the only way to get together with like-minded women.

We have 2 upcoming events in NYC this spring, plus more in the planning.

Sunday March 17th

NextTriber Olga Viakhireva has put together an afternoon with the perfumer Sue Phillips (we love it when NextTribers organize fun events). She’ll be talking about the many facets of scent and how she blends to create the most evocative fragrances. You’ll also have a chance to create your own signature perfume.

The ticket price is $65 (our cost) and you can put that amount toward creating your own fragrance.

Sunday April 7th

I’ll be in NYC that weekend and can’t wait to see you at a Sunday Salon at Lesley Dormen’s beautiful West Village apartment. We’ll be talking to Sari Botton, author and publisher of the magazine Oldster, about age and how we perceive it.

This one is free, as our most of our Sunday Salons.

May

We are in the planning stages for a Sunday Salon with producer and playwright Caytha Jentis. Stay tuned for more info.

June

We’ll be hosting our NextTribe Downtown NYC Tour June 7-10 with an add-on option of glamping on the night of June 10 on Governor’s Island. This will be our second annual tour, and we are happy to welcome local NextTribers to the festivities (space allowing).

If you were able to join us last year, you’ll remember how much fun we had—at a lunchtime talk with Sara Nelson, executive editor of Harper Collins, and Kristin Van Ogtrop, literary agent; or at the brunch event in a gorgeous Brooklyn brownstone featuring Maya Wiley, the former MSNBC legal analyst and NYC mayoral candidate. We’ll have intimate gatherings with other fascinating women this year.

Another highlight last year was our night of comedy and age-appropriate entertainment at a small theater in the East Village. We’ll be laughing our butts off again with a great gang of women, so keep an eye out for those tickets to go on sale.

If you want to take part in the Downtown NYC tour, but don’t need a hotel, we’ve got you covered. You can join at a price that reflects just the activities.

OR if you just want to go glamping with us on June 10th, we’ll be opening that up as well.

More info on options for the NYC tour here.

Hope to see you all soon.
