Don't Sweat the Small Stuff
Visas for Europe in 2025
Greetings, fellow travelers through time and space, nomads and settlers!
This week Jeannie Ralston is back on the road, greeting travelers on our first Portugal trip. On the first day, one of our frequent travelers locked herself in her hotel bathroom by accident and had to call the cavalry via our WhatsApp group. Note to self: always bring your phone into the bathroom! Note to travelers: This is why we have a WhatsApp group…to literally save your ass!
Jeannie Edmunds is settling down, sort of! She and Dave are moving out of the space they’ve been renting from a NextTriber to a condo in a nearby neighborhood in Austin. It’s walking distance from a famous old Austin restaurant that keeps peacocks, and she has some concerns. Her neighbors in Malibu had peacocks and during mating season they kept her up all night with their loud, desperate calling out for their mates! Listen to this and imagine it 10x louder!
Enjoy the reads, even if you’re not traveling. You can pass along these helpful hints to your friends who do!
This Week’s New Reads
And from the archives, this is still one of our most-read stories of all time. Wonder why?

Happy trails!

P.S. WE MAY HAVE AN EXTRA ROOM OPEN IN PORTUGAL THIS MONTH: SEPTEMBER 22-29, 2024!
If you’re interested, get in touch with Marcy at [email protected]. If the room is still available, we will offer a deep discount to fill it at the last minute! This is a rare opportunity, as we usually discount for early birds so if you’ve been thinking about Portugal, here’s your sign!
If you go, you can dance with Jeannie on our sunset cruise!
Two opportunities in Mexico, still open for bookings: For a fun cultural immersion trip, choose San Miguel the week AFTER Day of the Dead this year. Or choose our playtime retreat next year on the Pacific Ocean, at a beautiful resort called Present Moment.
