Can We Come Visit You?

Even though I’m parked right now in gorgeous Asheville–planning my mother’s 95th Birthday celebration in a couple of weeks–you wouldn’t know it if you scrolled through the pictures in my Apple Photos app. It looks like I’ve been jumping all over the map. 

For instance, I downloaded photos Jeannie Edmunds sent from our beach retreat in Mexico the same day that NextTriber Olga Vi texted images from a perfume making event we hosted in New York City. A few days later, Marcellina Kampa sent me photos from Austin–where they’re always doing something fun–and Jeannie Edmunds shared pix of NextTribe Happy Hours she hosted as she drove through Scottsdale, AZ and Santa Fe, NM. Then I started getting images from Ellesor Holder, who was guiding our trip to Charleston, SC. 

My head is spinning with all the activity in so many places and my heart is full. And we still want to cover more of the map (crazy gals that we are). 

We Want to Come to Your City

This summer, we’d like to send NextTribe team members to various cities around the country to get a fire lit for local chapters. It’s always been my dream to have NextTribe communities in lots of towns, but now I’m getting more serious. 

Here’s what I’m proposing: 

If you’d like someone from NextTribe to set up and host a Happy Hour in your city, please write Ellesor at [email protected]. Put in the subject line: “Come to [Your City Name]” 

She’ll coordinate the requests and this summer we’ll be in touch about who can come–it could be me, Jeannie E., Marcellina, Ellesor or someone else, based on where you are and the timing.

We’ll find a fun restaurant/bar to meet at and NextTribe will be buying drinks and nibbles. Sounds fun, huh? So let us know!

Pack Like a Pro…For Free

On NextTribe trips, the conversation often finds its way to packing. What type of bag do you use? How many pairs of shoes did you bring? Check or carry on? 

Based on my completely unscientific research, I guesstimate that 85 percent of NextTribe travelers could use some help with their packing.
