Is it better to travel with strangers?

Plus imaginary house hunting on the road

Hey there, bold women!

Look at me. I’m actually taking a little mini-vacation!

Me, resisting the temptation to look at my phone or laptop.

Between groups of travelers to Portugal, Mike and I are at the most exquisite, out of the way resort that I’m scouting for next year. Stay tuned!

Jeannie Edmunds is in LA this week for another Happy Women Dinner, this time at a beautiful home in Hidden Hills. The running theme on this night was “What would the perfect life look like for you?” Jeannie’s favorite author of the evening was a professional chef who should have been a standup comic: Lisa Staley-Coady.

Happy Women Dinners always feed the mind, body, and soul. Check them out.

Lisa worked at Ma Maison and L’Orangerie and then Wolfgang Puck made her the head chef at Spago. These days she’s a caterer (and writer) and the dinner included the out- of-this-world brownies from her new company, Butter Barn Butter. Really expensive but worth every penny!

And how are you these days? We’d love to hear from you if you have any feedback on our newsletters. Send an email to [email protected] and let us know how we’re doing.

Meanwhile, enjoy the new articles!

And one from our library, another popular article about women and s-e-x.

Happy trails!
