There should be a phrase for how fast and fierce January hits us after the holidays. Procrastinary? During the month of December, our minds keep telling us, Oh, no need to worry about that. It’s next YEAR. But the calendar turns and—Boom!—all those things we were so blithely putting off need attention now.
Jeannie Ralston put off preparing for our NextTribe India trip since it seemed so far off. But she leaves tomorrow. That means she’s been doing some hectic packing and tying up of loose ends. Jeannie Edmunds stepped out to the first Austin NextTribe gathering of the year, at Cosmic Saltillo in East Austin. She got to meet Austinite Lynn Dodge who’s traveling to Morocco at the end of this month, on the trip Jeannie is leading. Peggy Miller, who went on the Morocco trip last year, gave Lynn the download on what to expect from a traveler’s perspective. Thank you, Peggy! And thanks to everyone who welcomed Lynn to the Austin group, including Melissa Gray, who has invited Lynn to join her hiking group!
Unfortunately there’s no evidence that Jeannie and Lynn met this morning because Jeannie didn’t take a photo! GRR!
