Jeannie Ralston is in Lisbon today with a wonderful group of travelers, who are just starting their Portugal experience. “Between Iceland and now Portugal, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten so well,” she says, noting that today the group had lunch at a Michelen-level restaurant AND in the evening took part in a lively cooking class. “I think they’ll have to roll me off the plane after a week more of this amazing food.”

Jeannie Edmunds had a Texas BBQ lunch at the Capital Factory, the small business accelerator where she mentors founders of startup companies. Three of her favorites are an app that helps foodies discover popup restaurants, an ai-powered modular kitchen garden, and a flying house—a tiny house with propellers on top—serving disaster areas and refugee camps. "I love helping these founders. It gives me hope for the future,” she says. “Today is a day of reflection and sorrow for so many, and the world seems even more chaotic now. But hope is the one thing we can cling to. Change is the only thing we can count on.”
