New year, new trips for all of us!

Jeannie Ralston is packed and leaving today for our Morocco trip. She made a video for her fellow travelers to help with packing. It’s Morocco-specific, but it may help some of you with general tips about making each item in your bag work for you.

Jeannie Edmunds just got to Durango, Colorado where she’s spending a week with her daughter, who just dyed her hair green. “This trip is like Gorbachev going to Cuba in 1988 to let Castro know the party’s over…no more funding,” she says.

“We make a lot of mistakes as mothers, and it’s so easy to judge ourselves. But I raised a kind, sensitive, sweet soul and I’m proud of that.” If it takes her a little longer to find herself, that’s her path.” PS We both just rolled out of bed and into her favorite Mexican restaurant!

Those of you with “unconventional” young adult children (artists, van lifers, hippies, struggling actors) may relate. You don’t want them on the street, but propping them up isn’t good for them, either. “She’s recording and producing her own music for Spotify and Itunes, and she has an Instagram clothing business, but she doesn’t want a regular “muggle” job…unless she can bring her dog!”

Neither of us Jeannies would want to relive our 20s, especially in this decade. We’ve found that so long as we stay active and are blessed with good health, the older we get, the sweeter and more rewarding life can be…after a lifetime of working our asses off, and NOT bringing our dogs to work!
