Age Boldly: Keeping it Cool in Hot Weather Travel

Plus, Revisiting Places You Loved as a Child (Nostalgia Alert!)

Jeannie Ralston is leaving for Scotland today, after an eventful weekend that she’ll tell you about in her monthly founder’s note on June 1st. Too slammed to post a photo unless you want to see a blurred one of her running around her house packing her bag.

Jeannie Edmunds has also had a busy week, starting in Washington, DC, where she met a couple of local NextTribers for coffee…

Kathy has written several books on Paris, and Kat just retired from the FDA. NextTribe is so full of fascinating, badass women. Look for more events with the DC area group soon!

…followed by lunch in Old Town, Alexandria, with her first husband, Doug, and his wife, Agniescka. Jeannie says, “After not seeing him for 28 years, it just felt like sitting across the table from an old friend. I’m happy he found his soulmate, and I found mine.”

Jeannie says her manicurist wanted to book the table next to hers to eavesdrop. Turns out there was no drama…just a nice, friendly lunch, closing the loop after 28 years.

Also this week: Our entire travel department—Marcy Mitchell and Brenda Lyon—was in Austin together, where they got a chance to meet some local members and travelers.

Are you waiting for a response from our travel department? They’ve been a little busy whooping it up in Austin!

Have a relaxing weekend, curling up with the articles from this week’s NextTribe Magazine.

Jeannie Ralston says, “This little magic potion has kept me well during most of my travels. I spray some before and after a flight and whenever I’m feeling draggy or get a scratchy throat. Using some today as I get ready to board my flight to Dublin. Knock on wood!!”
