Age Boldly: How to Celebrate a Birthday By Yourself
And how to see Savannah like a local

Greetings!
This week, Jeannie Ralston is happy that others are enjoying the thrill of the road—including her older sister. Janyce made her first NextTribe trip last year to Scotland, where she met two fabulous women from St. John, New Brunswick in Canada. (Including Jo McInnis, our guide for the Scotland trip.) While Janyce was on a cruise through the maritime provinces with her husband, she arranged to have lunch with Jo and her pal, Donna.
Jeannie couldn’t be happier that long-distance connections like this are being made all the time through NextTribe.

Jeannie Edmunds got dropped off at the airport this morning at 4:30 for her flight to Athens. She’ll be in Greece, Mexico, and Vietnam in the next 2 months. “Even though I have to get up at the crack of dawn, I prefer the first flight of the day if possible. They’re less likely to get cancelled, though there’s no guarantee these days. With the government shutdown, the TSA lines are definitely longer and slower,” she says.

She’s getting used to not wearing glasses after her cataract surgery gave her 20/20 vision again!
NextTribe’s Travel Manager Marcy Mitchell is leading our trip in Santa Fe this week. Today they’re going to Georgia O’Keefe’s home, to the ranch at Abiquiu and on to Ojo Caliente to soak in the hot springs!

FEATURED FIND
Jeannie Ralston says, “Packing experts are always talking about day-to-night dresses and the like, but it’s not always easy to spot one when you see it. To me, this is the ideal kind of dress that can be worn many times on a trip, in many different situations. It’s a blank canvas. Dress it down or dress it up. Easy and comfortable. I found this on the Chico website while creating a packing list for San Miguel de Allende in Mexico and wanted to share it with everyone. Great price too.”
