Jeannie Ralston swears she ate the best meal of her life last night in Barcelona, where she is previewing the delights of our March trip to Spain. “You can’t believe what the chef did with a single egg, still in its shell!” she exclaims.

She and her friend Cathryn Wood are enjoying so many other beautiful moments on the Iberian peninsula—from a flamenco performance in Sevilla that left them in tears to visiting the stupendous Grand Mosque in Cordoba (above, left) and Gaudi’s mind-blowing Sagrada Familia (above, right). Oh and there are beaches within the city limits of Barcelona, which they have taken full advantage of!

Cathryn wanted to weigh in on what this trip has meant to her: “What stands out to me is the ease of Spain. From the ease of finding good food and getting around the cities to the ease of the beautiful people. I’m loving it!”

Jeannie Edmunds is watering her plants before she leaves for Greece in the morning. She and her husband are meeting another couple in Athens and re-creating the NextTribe itinerary in Athens and on Hydra before our NextTribe travelers arrive 10/3. She loves Hydra so much she’s thinking of moving there. But she also said that about San Miguel, Japan, Oaxaca, Ecuador, Vietnam and Morocco!
