It’s that time again. Time for Jeannie Ralston to pull out her trusty Away suitcase. On this occasion, she’s filling it with all the things she’ll need for 16 days on the road—first Costa Rica (where she’ll scout out locations for a wellness retreat in 2027, then Ecuador and then FINALLY, the Galapagos.
Not only does Jeannie create shoppable packing lists for each of our trips—Ecuador here, Savannah here—she also has started making videos, like the one above, of what she packs for her trips, so you can see how she makes decisions about what to bring and how she fits it all in a carry-on!
Even if you’re not going to Ecuador, the video may give you ideas about efficient packing that we hope will help no matter where you’re heading. Particularly if you’re packing for chilly and hot weather in the same trip, we think you’ll find some inspiration.

Jeannie Edmunds stopped by the Austin Coffee Talk where members were grabbing a cup of Joe before heading out for a group walk along the newly connected hike and bike path along Lady Bird Lake. She really, really wanted to join them but alas, she had to rush back home to get on a Zoom with our bookkeepers who were asking what the hell we were thinking offering such a huge discount for our anniversary. Fortunately they don’t get to tell us what to do!
