But wait. There’s more! We want to meet your friends!

If you book a trip this month (January 2026) and want to bring a friend who’s a first-time traveler (even if you’re not), you’ll BOTH get $250 off. AND this applies if you’re already signed up for a trip and want to have a friend join you. The friend has to sign up by January 31st for you both to get this benefit. The discount will be applied to the final payment on the trip. Click here to choose from our 25, count ‘em, 25 trips this year! (2 new ones just opened today).

Some are already sold out, so get ready to put that $500 down to save your spot!

OK, 9 more days of this special offer and it’s over! Congratulations to Karen Jacobs, Denise Corazon, and Lucie Frost on your referral rewards!

“Spending time immersed in the local culture (especially with local women like Amachi here) has added so much depth and richness to our experiences on this trip,” says Ralston.

For the last few days in the South India state of Kerala, Jeannie Ralston has felt like she stepped right out of the novel, The Covenant of Water. She and her group of NextTribe travelers toured the storied backwater canals on a houseboat and welcomed an English professor on board to talk about the book as they witnessed the timeless water culture--people bathing in the canals, fishing, washing clothes, kids swimming with their friends. Then, they met a vivacious 82-year-old who sang to them, cooked for them and seemed to be the model for the main character of the book. The lunch they had in her 400-year-old traditional home was served on a banana leaf and they ate it in traditional Kerala style--with their hands. She says it was truly finger-licking good.

Jeannie Edmunds wore her ball cap to Coffee Talk this morning not because she was hiding her unwashed, frizzy hair (who hasn’t done that?) but in honor of her late mother’s birthday today. She and her brothers have a ritual: Hawaiian shirts in honor of their dad—who loved Kauai—on his birthday, and a ball cap to honor their mom, who started wearing them when her hair got thinner in her 80s. She also wore lots of feather boas but her brothers weren't down for that!

Edmunds leaves for Morocco tomorrow, and our second Morocco trip still has an opening if you’re ready for adventure, or just want to escape the madness February 21-March 5.

Enjoy the reads!

Jeannie Ralston says, “We’re working on a trip to Mongolia for 2027 and one of the things that interests me is Mongolian cashmere. Those of us on the East Coast need some of these babies ASAP. Looks like this storm is going to be a big one, and it may not be the end of winter 2026. I’ve been in a hot climate for the last two weeks. I’m going to need these when I get home."
