One of our travelers on the island of Hydra, Greece last year. We’d love to see the photo she took entered into our contest.

We’re looking for travel photos from anywhere you’ve traveled (not necessarily with NextTribe) that capture a sense of wonder.

And your friends are eligible too, so spread the word. You don’t have to be a NextTribe member to enter the contest.

Now, over to the Blue Ridge Mountains, where preparations have begun for the big event this weekend!

Let the primping begin!!

Normally, Jeannie Ralston’s brain is focused on far-off lands—South Africa, Egypt, Costa Rica, New Zealand (all places we’re planning trips to in 2027). But from now until Sunday she’s zeroed in on Asheville, NC. The people she loves most in the world are descending on this mountain town to attend her second wedding. Her first was was a semi-elopement, so she’s experiencing fairly late in life the unique joys and stresses of hosting a sizable wedding.

She has a mix of emotions—excitement, nervousness, elation—but mostly she says she’s feeling grateful. For the chance to start again at 65 with a wonderful man, for her family and network of lovely friends, for the chance (and the health) to dance her ass off to an 80s band, and for love, which should always be celebrated.

She’s wearing a caftan one of the Vietnam 2024 travelers bought for everyone at their reunion in Phoenix last year!

Jeannie Edmunds is flying to Asheville at the crack of dawn tomorrow to join the celebration. Tonight she’s hosting travelers from last year’s Vietnam trip who are having a mini-reunion in Austin this weekend.

Jeannie Ralston says, "I put these on the Japan packing list but they are so stylish I think they’d work in Paris, Athens, or Buenos Aires. Bless the founder of Spanx, a woman who understands that we want comfort but they also might want a little light squeeze to bring everything into alignment, if you get my drift.”
