Happy Dog Days,
And who doesn’t love dogs? Don’t know why they have to take the rap for all this heat we’re experiencing in most of the country!
Except where Jeannie Ralston is this week. She’s in the Catskills in Upstate New York, where she found her footing after divorce. She says she always feels peace when she’s staying at the old Victorian house beside a charming lake she called home for a few months in 2021. Now it’s a base where she can visit with friends and family, kayak, bike ride, and chill out in the cool temperatures. Every summer she’s able to make it to the Catskills, she likes to see what’s new in this part of the state that bills itself as “the anti-Hamptons” for a New York City crowd. This week she found a new bar with an unusual name (see photo) that reminded her she would soon be returning to Nepal and needs to get some hiking in.

Jeannie Edmunds stopped by our coffee talk in Austin this morning where she reconnected with women she hadn’t seen in a while. She had invited Chey (in the photo above) a fabulous woman she’d talked to on the phone who is interested in one of our trips.
Did you know you can schedule a call with this Jeannie (OJ-”The Other Jeannie”) to ask questions about traveling with NextTribe, how we put roommates together, what fitness level you need for certain trips, etc. Sometimes you’re just thinking about a trip, and want to get your questions answered by a live person, not a chatbot. She’s the answer queen, so click here to set up a call with her if you’re travel-curious.
Better yet, pony up $9/month (or $39 a year) and become a member of NextTribe so you can find out what’s going on in NextTribe communities across the US. The communities all organize via our WhatsApp groups.
Stay cool, and enjoy the reads!

Booking Deadline Coming Up
Hair down. Sari on. Women our age. Let's go slow on purpose.
Most tours of India are a sprint — a blur of temples and must-see cities that leave you overstimulated and clutching a mental scrapbook you'll spend months sorting out. That is emphatically not the NextTribe way.
Instead of racing through India, we slow all the way down into Kerala — our favorite corner of the country, and one of the most quietly ravishing places on earth. Misty tea plantations. Mountain vistas. Elephant-dotted forests. Sunset over the Arabian Sea. A labyrinth of backwater canals that feel like they're letting you in on a secret.
We'll sit with local women who share their art, their crafts, and the honest, intimate details of their lives. This isn't sightseeing. It's the real thing.
Bookings close Aug. 31st!
