Greetings!

It was cooooold this week in a big swath of the U.S. Asheville got snow, and it made Jeannie Ralston feel like a kid again. Not enough accumulation for snow angels or a snowman, but she did get out to celebrate—she LOVES living in a place with four seasons. She was hoping to play with the 4-year-old next door, but he had to go to school.

It is NOT cold where Jeannie Edmunds is: Vietnam. With a lovely group of NextTribers. But she’s kind of being a kid as well. Riding on the back of a motor scooter through crazy traffic in Hanoi.

When Ralston saw this picture, she wrote Edmunds, “You look like a teenager.”

Edmunds responded, “I feel like one.”

All of which reminds Ralston of a card she bought at a coffee shop in Scotland: “Your age is inappropriate for your behavior,” it says. May it ever be so.

Happy countdown to Thanksgiving!

This Week’s Reads

Speaking of smaller things, here’s a piece that rages about getting shorter as we age. The indignity of it all!!

Happy travels—

FEATURED FIND

Jeannie Ralston says, “Make your Thanksgiving dinner a little more fun with T-shirts from Life is Good that proclaim your fave food for the day. Mine is Pumpkin Pie. Mike’s is Gravy. I sent them to my sons and daughter-in-law as well. (Mashed Potatoes, Pumpkin Pie and Apple Pie, respectively.) There’s still time to get them before the holiday. A nice distraction from political talk! So clever.”
