Hey there,

How was your summer?

We’re getting ready for a super busy Fall season when one of us will be in Portugal, Spain, Turkey, and the Himalayas while the other goes to Greece and San Miguel de Allende for Day of the Dead.

And yes, we count our blessing every day that we get to do this for a living while building a community of cool women across the US and Canada.

Whether you travel with us or not, you are welcome here!

Paying tribute to someone who is a role model for all.

In Asheville, just down the street from Jeannie Ralston’s home, there’s a huge mural of Dolly Parton. Locals have been flocking to this site to remember the Queen of Country, offering flowers, prayers, art work, balloons, etc. Jeannie visited the site this morning and was moved by the outpouring of affection. Also born and raised in East Tennessee, Jeannie had a special admiration for Dolly and we wrote about her often in NextTribe magazine, including this story. R.I.P. to a generous, classy, smart, talented and badass woman of the South!

Jeannie, the “chefa,” and traveler Barb Christman. We’re not surprised the best chefs happen to be women. These women chefs in Mexico are carrying on the culinary traditions of their mothers and grandmothers, using the freshest local ingredients sourced from farms just outside of the city.. Thanks for the photo Patty Gravatt!

Jeannie Edmunds is shocked that after eating 3 meals a day including dessert in Oaxaca she actually lost a pound! When she’s at home she’s an intermittent faster, eating only one big meal a day. But she couldn’t resist the gourmet dishes offered by (mostly) female chefs on our trip to this famous food and culture capital in Southern Mexico. Chef Celia Floriån of Las Quince Letras (pictured above) has been awarded Michelin’s Bib Gourmand every year since 2026.

We’ll release the Oaxaca 2027 trip soon so get ready to snag it before it sells out.

Meanwhile, enjoy the reads!

And from the archives, another kind of shopping. Today medical and/or recreational cannabis use is legal in 40 states, but it wasn’t when we published this article 5 years ago!

Happy shopping, and safe travels—

San Miguel is our Signature Trip. Come with us!

Two trips to San Miguel de Allende this Fall have already sold out.

Now, we’ve opened up another chance for you to experience the #1-Rated International Destination (Conde Nast Traveler) during Mexico’s loveliest and liveliest festival. And most poignant too.

The ever-beautiful San Miguel is even more so during this fall trip—where every shop and restaurant is decked out in garlands of marigolds and elaborate, imaginative tributes to the spirit of the season.
