In front of Jeannie’s Asheville house…ha ha!
One of the delights of living in a beautiful, interesting city, says Jeannie Ralston, is introducing it to others. She did just that this past weekend when a group of NextTribers visited Asheville, NC for our third annual trip to the mountain city. Foraging for mushrooms and ramps was one of the top experiences--especially when the group got to dine out on their findings at one of the city's best restaurants. But there were many other highlights as well, she says. “Come on next year’s trip and I’ll show you!!” she says.
Tickets behind the stage (not bad, very close) went for $250@. Better than Taylor Swift prices! And Bruce puts on one heck of a show. Worth every penny.
Jeannie Edmunds got back from Japan in time to see Bruce Springsteen with Patrice Powers, a NextTribe member visiting from Chicago. Jeannie got to know Patrice when she joined Jeannie’s trips to Cuba and Vietnam. Patrice is a Springsteen super fan and was on her feet the entire concert!
“I loved the concert, too,” says Jeannie. “And it was especially fun going with someone who knows all the lyrics to every song, all the band members’ names, and, most important, that Bruce never has an opening act so I had to get there on time!” The tour continues in Chicago, Cleveland and other east coast cities, winding up in Washington, DC. May 27.
