Hi there!
Jeannie Ralston is NOT in San Miguel de Allende. This is the first time since 2016 that she hasn’t been conducting the fun on our beloved Dia de los Muertos adventure in the city that she once called home. Instead, she’s preparing for a 3-week trip to Nepal, where she’ll be one of 11 women hiking through the HImalayas.
Last weekend, she prepared with a hefty hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The altitude is far lower than what she’ll encounter in Himalayas, but it’s a warm up of sorts. Wish her luck!! She’ll be sending photos and reports from the trail, so stay tuned.
Jeannie Edmunds is in San Miguel de Allende for the start of our Day of the Dead trip. One group just set off on their walking tour this morning, and their day includes a visit to a hot springs, massages, a folk art gallery, and an historic church, followed by dinner on a rooftop! The other groups have their own schedules, and Jeannie is there to make sure things go smoothly with all 3 groups.
She is beyond thrilled to be back in one of her favorite cities in the world at this festive time of year. The hotel Hacienda Santuario is celebrating Frida Kahlo this year and the decorations—made of seeds and rice kernels—are spectacular!
We hope you enjoy the articles this week.

1 spot Open for Argentina!
Argentina stretches from subtropical wetlands to Patagonian glaciers. The Chile-Argentina border is among the most geographically dramatic and diverse and includes the highest mountains and volcanoes in both Western and Southern Hemispheres.. but our journey focuses on the country’s heart: cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, the legendary vineyards of Mendoza, and the high-altitude valleys of the northwest where the Andes create their own microclimate. Think dramatic landscapes, intimate cultural encounters, and wines you’ve never tasted anywhere else. In Argentina, every day brings a new discovery.
