Greetings!

Jeannie Ralston, who is on her way to NYC for a few days, is the proud new owner of solar panels on her roof in Asheville. She has had solar panels at other houses, and is thrilled to continue the practice. People have asked her, “When does it pay off?” As if this were purely a financial decision.

It pays off in so many ways—more money in her pocket every month, money that isn’t going to the power company. Which means more spending power.

And of course, it’s pays off big time environmentally. As they used to say at Mastercard, “Priceless.”

Still having the time of her life—Jeannie Edmunds in Vietnam. Our second visit there is almost over, and Edmunds and her group of 14 women are squeezing out all the fun possible. “I didn’t think Vietnam could be any better than last year,” she told me. “But it continues to amaze.” She’s already thinking about next year’s trip, which we’ll post soon. As soon as we decide who’s the lucky NextTribe staffer who gets to lead it.

This Week’s Reads

Speaking of smaller things, here’s a piece that rages about getting shorter as we age. The indignity of it all!!

With the public release of our 2026 trips to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, here’s a story to let you know that our signature trip is more than just fun and games (but there’s a lot of that too).

Happy travels—

Jeannie Ralston, CEO + Jeannie Edmunds, Chief Operating Officer

FEATURED FIND

Jeannie Ralston says, “I’ve long been looking for a pair of boots that are easy to wear and pack. Yahooo! I found them. These Stretchy Knee-High Boots are as comfortable as wearing socks and the only dressy footwear I brought for NYC this weekend. (My only other shoe is my favorite sneaker.) Hope I get to see a lot of New Yorkers on Sunday at a salon on the Upper West Side.”
