Adeus Portugal. ¡Hola Azores!

Jeannie Ralston has just finished leading our Portugal trip and she says her group ended the adventure in style: Dancing to a live band on the riverfront in Porto. Here she is with new traveler Kim Martinez, who enjoyed the trip so much that even before the last day, she signed up for our Croatia trip in May, 2027. We have 2 spots left on that trip! “It was such a lovely group,” Jeannie says. “We all had trouble saying goodbye. I look at this photo of the group hug [above] after our farewell dinner and am so moved to think these women didn’t know each other 8 days ago.” Jeannie is now off to the Azores, which she is checking out for a possible trip one day.

Jeannie Edmunds visited the “outdoor group” at coffee talk this morning in Austin. “It’s still so damn hot here,” she says. But that didn’t deter these Texas women from having their coffee and bagels outside.

The indoors group enjoyed the a/c before both groups set out on a trek through nearby Pease Park. Jeannie E. had to come back and write this newsletter, so she couldn’t join them. “We’re all looking forward to October when temperatures should reliably dip below 90 during the day,” she says.

Some women in our local community gatherings are NextTribe travelers, but many are not. Building community among women is what we live for, whether it’s on our trips are not. Many new friendships have been formed from these groups and we’re here for it! We appreciate all of you.
