Age Boldly: 13 Tips for Better Travel Photos
Plus, announcing "slow travel" to India in 2026.
Greetings bold women!
This week Jeannie Ralston has been preparing to welcome a group to her hometown of Asheville at the end of the month. The landscape is preparing too. The tree in her front yard is budding out beautifully and she loves getting out on her bike around town to soak in this lovely spring. It’s reassuring to see that after the devastation in Western North Carolina last fall, the community can come back so beautifully.
Both Jeannies attended a virtual “playshop” last night led by Kate McGloughlin, the artist/art educator who’s going to lead our wonder experiences on the island of Hydra, Greece this fall.
This playshop was a fabulous, thought-provoking, uplifting experience that centered on stones—and was impactful whether you’re an artist or not. It was designed to slow us down and have us all appreciate the beauty and magic of even the smallest details in life. Some attendees made charcoal drawings of their stones, one woman wrote a poem.
Jeannie Edmunds, whose passion far exceeds her artistic talent, wrapped her favorite rose quartz “worry” stone. It has an indentation for the thumb but now that it’s wrapped, she can’t rub it any more…so no more worrying! As if!

Wrapped or not, this rose quartz is still a beauty!
Here is a link to the playshop if you’d like to get a glimpse into the wondrous words and energy of Kate McGloughlin.
Hope you enjoy this week’s articles!
